April Weaver

Administrator | Instructor

April Weaver is a native of Georgia. She grew up in Dacula and has witnessed Gwinnett grow into one of the largest counties in Georgia. April’s vast knowledge of the area has been a great advantage for clients focusing on the Gwinnett, Jackson, and Banks County areas. She has many years in real estate and believes her customer service skills sets her apart from others. April’s proven results in providing her clients with exceptional service are evident in her repeat and referral business.

After leaving her corporate IT job, April stayed home for a few years while raising her kids and teaching preschool part time. Prior to her IT position, April worked for a real estate agent as an unlicensed assistant. She loved the job, and quickly fell in love with all things real estate. It was something she had a passion for. When April decided to rejoin the workforce, there was no doubt that real estate was where she was meant to be. With encouragement and support from family, April began her real estate career in 2014. After many years as a successful real estate professional, April took the next step and obtained her brokers license in 2018. Obtaining her brokers license allowed her to move forward in leadership and to serve others in a different capacity. Since then, April has been able to help other Realtors® by coaching, mentoring, offering broker support, and simply helping others improve while continuing to serve her clients with the high level of customer service that they deserve. In 2022, April and longtime friend and business associate, Nakia Brooks, opened Heartland Real Estate. Heartland Real Estate is a full-service real estate brokerage based in Braselton, GA.

April has many accomplishments in the real estate industry. She has served as Board President of the I-85 North Board of Realtors®, as well as Chairperson for various committees, achieved the President’s Award, obtained Circle of Distinction, and was elected the I-85 North Board of Realtors® Realtor® of the Year in 2019. April is also a member of the Athens Board of Realtors®, Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of Realtors® and currently serves as a Director for the Georgia Association of Realtors®. These positions have provided her an expansive network in the real estate industry.

April is married to Kevin, a Marine Veteran, and they reside in Commerce, Georgia. They have three kids, whom they are both very proud of. Their son, Cody, and his wife Lexie, reside at Camp Lejeune, NC. Cody serves on active duty for the United State Marine Corps. Their two daughters, Kaitlyn and Alivia, are both students at East Jackson High School. They participate in Competition Cheer, Tennis, and Track and Field. In her spare time, April enjoys attending her kids sporting events, shopping, country music concerts, and visiting small town coffee shops.
