Business Planning is the foundation of any successful business. Real estate is no different, with the current failure rate of real estate professionals within first five years, it’s imperative that we train them for realistic success. This course will help the student understand why they are in the real estate business, educate them on fundamentals of business planning and assist the students in creating a plan.
Introduction
- Identify current statistics as to the failure rate of salespersons within first 5 years
- Discuss the fundamentals of a solid business plan
- Identify the goals of the students for their business plan
- Goals identified by the students will become part of their business planning process
Elements of a Real Estate Business Plan
- Students will identify the type of real estate they wish to pursue or current working
- Students will identify the statistics needed to create their plan such as:
- Current sales prices, current days on market, market saturation and other market data
- Students will work through their current plan if they have one
- Students will be educated on the accountability aspect of achieving success through having a partner to hold them accountable
Creation of a Real Estate Business Plan
- Students will be given real estate business plan template
- Students will utilize the elements learned within the previous two hours and begin to put their plan in writing
- Instructor will go over each section of the business plan to assist the students creating their own plan
- Student will be given class time to work on their plans so upon departure, they have a tangible plan to work from as they conduct their real estate businesses
