REALTOR® are required to complete code of ethics training of not less than 2 ½ of instructional time within a three-year cycle. The course is 3.0 hours in length to suffice for the Georgia Real Estate Commission requirement of three hours Continuing Education Credit. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.
NAR’s Board of Directors approved a change to the Code of Ethics training requirement, extending it from every two years to every three years. This extends the current cycle deadline from Dec. 31, 2020, to Dec. 31, 2021.
During this course of instruction, the students will be educated on the history of the National Association of REALTORS®, the articles of the Code of Ethics, and the enforcement should a REALTOR® violate the Code of Ethics.
